Today, me and my daughter, linked up with Brain Injury Connections NW for a hike. Everyone who was able, carried buckets, grabber sticks, and gloves in tow – all for a good cause, to look for trash and clean it up on the trek.
We took it easy, strolling at a "conversational" pace, enjoying the sunshine and great company. What truly warmed my heart was seeing my little Haven so hyped to meet new folks and pitch in with the trash cleanup.

This means the world to me is because giving back is a core value in my book. And passing that down to my kiddo? Well, that's everything. It's about teaching her the power of community and looking the spaces we inhabit. My dad used to ALWAYS tell us, "Leave the place better than you found it."
Today's hike was more than just picking up trash; it was a lesson in kindness and leaving our mark on this world – a lesson I'm proud to share with my child. So, yeah, today was a day to remember, a reminder of why service always fills my heart with joy.
Love that Haven is experiencing joy through service. The ultimate gift as a Christian is finding joy in serving others. You’re an incredible mother.
What a legacy you are leading!
